A process where people exchange thoughts and ideas with each other verbally and non-verbally is described as communication.
There are two forms of communication: Verbal and Non-verbal.
    Verbal Communication
Verbal means the use of words in the communication process and in the design and formulation of messages.
The words are kept short and simple i.e (KISS- Keep it short and simple).
It includes both oral and written communication.
    In oral communication,
    spoken words are used.
It includes face-to-face conversations, speech, telephonic conversation, video, radio, television, and voice over the internet.
    In written communication,
written signs and symbols, both in printed or handwritten form can be used.
Pictures, graphs, etc., are used to complement the written text.
The communicator’s writing skills, style, and knowledge of grammar affect the quality of the message.
the message can be transmitted through email, letter, report, memo, etc.
This is the most commonly used communication in a business organization.
    Nonverbal communication
The message is transmitted without words.
It is the transfer of information through the use of body language including eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, and more.
For example, smiling when you meet someone conveys friendliness, acceptance, and openness. Everyone uses nonverbal communication all the time whether they know it or not.
When the sender wants to convey complex information, written communication serves better than oral communication. Having the written document, the receiver can read it repeatedly until he/she understands the entire message.
