    -Monocarpic plants are those that (Flower, only once in its life set seeds and then die). The term "Monocarpic" was first coined by (Alphonse de Candolle).
    -They are (Annual and Biennial plants). Examples of Annual plants are (Wheat, Rice) and Biennial plants are (Ex Carrot, Radish) are Monocarpic. A few Perennial plants are their ( Agave, Banana, Bambusa Tulda , etc) are also Monocarpic plants.
    -Some Plants like bamboo species (Bambusa Tuida) flower only once In their lifetime, usually after (50-100) years. They produce a large number of fruits, only once and then die.
    -While other Plants like { Strobilanthus Kunthiana (Neelakuranji) } whose flowers grow once in (12) years. The last time this plant gave flowered during the month of (September-October) in 2006.
    – {Strobilanthus Kunthiana (Neelakuranji) }  found in hilly areas in (Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu). It attracted a large number of Tourists. The next cycle happened in the year 2018 for the (flowering of Neelakuranji).
